The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for a casual ECE Instructor or ECE Assistant at the Shawnigan Lake Community Centre Childcare Facility, within the South Cowichan Recreation Division of the Community Services Department.
Reporting to the Child Care Coordinator, the ECE Instructor works with the Coordinator to develop and implement the Preschool or Group Care Programs including adhering to licensing policies and guidelines, and the ECE Assistant works with the ECE Instructor to develop and implement the Preschool or Group Care programs, including adhering to licensing policies and guidelines.

Casual hours of work are set during hours of operation which are typically Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. ‑ 6:00 p.m. Hours of work are based on operational need and may vary to accommodate facility events.
Wage rate in 2 steps as per the Non-Union Staff Wage Scale (2025 rates), plus an additional 17.2% pay in lieu of vacation, benefits and stat holidays.
