The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications from prospective candidates as a temporary part time Janitor, for up to two (2) years, in the North/Central Cowichan Facilities Section of the Facilities Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Manager, Facility Operations (North/Central Cowichan) and supervised by the Janitor-Lead Head, the Janitor is responsible to perform a variety of tasks related to janitorial/custodial and cleaning methods of the facility.

Guaranteed 20 hours of work per week. Work is scheduled based on meeting operational needs and may include days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. Due to the nature of this work the successful candidate must be available to work a flexible variety of shifts.
This Janitor position is unionized (CUPE Local 358) with a salary ranging in three steps from $32.55 - $33.50 - $34.49 per hour (2025 rates).
