General Information

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for the casual Food & Beverage I opportunity in the at the Kerry Park Recreation Centre in South Cowichan Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Coordinator the Food & Beverage I provides pleasant, professional customer service to patrons and performs cashiering, dish washing, bussing, and concession attendant duties.

Qualifications

  • Minimum completion of Grade 9.  An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Experience working in a food and beverage environment (kitchen/concession) would be an asset.
  • Food Safe Level I Certificate
  • Basic First Aid certificate (can be obtained after being hired)

Hours of Work

As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate must be prepared to work a flexible variety of shifts including days & evenings on weekdays & weekends.

Salary

This non-union position has a wage range in two steps - $20.22 - $21.40 per hour (2025 rates), as per the Non-Union Wage Scale, plus 17.2% pay in lieu of vacation, benefits and statutory holidays, as per the Non-Union Wage Scale.
