General Information

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for casual Food & Beverage I opportunities in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Coordinator, the Food & Beverage I is a concession attendant, prep cook and banquet worker that provides service to patrons, ensuring their satisfaction. The Food & Beverage I prepares and serves food and beverages, processes cash transactions, washes dishes and busses tables.

Qualifications

  • Minimum completion of Grade 9 or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Food Safe Level I Certificate
  • Basic First Aid Certificate

Hours of Work

As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate must be prepared to work a flexible variety of shifts including days & evenings on weekdays & weekends.

Salary

This non-union casual opportunity has a wage range in two steps - $20.22 - $21.40 per hour plus 17.2% pay in lieu of vacation, benefits and statutory holidays, as per the Non-Union Wage Scale (2025 rates).
