General Information

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications from prospective candidates to join our organization as a casual Food & Beverage III at the Kerry Park Recreation Centre in the South Cowichan Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Coordinator, the Food and Beverage III works with the Coordinator to assist in the operation and maintenance of the Food and Beverage Services Operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum Secondary school graduation
  • Short Order Cooking or equivalent training required.
  • Supervisory training would be an asset.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in one or more of the following areas- cooking and food preparation, short order cooking and concession style cooking, banquet services, concession services, managing of food control.
  • Food Safe Advanced Certification
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Basic First Aid Certficate

Hours of Work

Casual hours of work are scheduled based on operational need and successful candidates will be required to work a flexible variety of shifts including days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work.

Salary

This non-union casual opportunity has a wage range in two steps, $25.94 - $27.08 per hour (2025 rates), as per the Non-Union Wage Scale.
