The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for the temporary part time, up to seven (7) months, Rink Supervisor position at the Kerry Park Recreation Centre in the South Cowichan Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Programs & Marketing Coordinator, or designate, and supervised by recreation programming staff, the Rink Supervisor oversees the operation and supervision of arena recreation activities and programming, private rentals and special events.

• Preference will be given to those that have completed Grade 12 and are minium 19 years of age, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Experience working in a recreation type environment.
• Experience supervising staff.
• First Aid Certificate with Child CPR
• Class 5 BC Driver’s License would be an asset
• WHMIS Certificate– provided by the employer

Guaranteed minimum 20 hours of work per week. Hours of work are scheduled based on operational needs and may include a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.

This non-union casual opportunity has a starting wage of $21.98 per hour (2023 rate), as per the Non-Union Wage Scale. Benefits are included as part of this position.
