The Cowichan Valley Regional District is inviting qualified applicants to submit an application package for the position of General Manager, Operations. This full-time exempt, senior management role reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and provides innovation leadership, strategic direction, and works collaboratively with the Division and Section Heads to ensure effective and efficient delivery of all services in the Department. The General Manager participates as a key member on the Senior Management Team and may function as Acting CAO in the CAO’s absence. The General Manager also provides strategic direction and operational advice to the Board, CAO, and Senior Management Team.

You have experience as a hands-on senior leader able to think long term and deliver on the strategic goals of the CVRD. The typical work week is 35 hours and will include evenings and weekends as operationally needed. Flextime is offered with this position. In addition, this position offers an opportunity for a hybrid in-office / Work-From-Home arrangement.
