Casual, on-call Instructor - Facilitator opportunities are available within the South Cowichan Recreation Division of the Community Services Department at the Cowichan Valley Regional District. Reporting to the Recreation Centre Manager or designate and supervised by recreation programming staff the Instructor ‑ Facilitator performs a variety of work related to facilitating recreational activities for children & youth programs and special events.

Casual hours of work are scheduled based on operational need and will be required to work a flexible variety of shifts including days & evenings on weekdays & weekends. As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work.
This non-union casual opportunity has a starting wage of $20.65 per hour (which is $17.65 per hour plus an additional 6% pay in lieu of benefits, 6% pay in lieu of vacation and 5% pay in lieu of statutory holidays), as per the 2021 Non-Union Wage Scale.
