General Information

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications from prospective candidates to join our organization as a casual Food & Beverage I at the Kerry Park Recreation Centre in the South Cowichan Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Coordinator the Food & Beverage I provides pleasant, professional customer service to patrons and performs cashiering, dish washing, bussing, and concession attendant duties.


  • Minimum completion of Grade 9.  An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Experience working in a food and beverage environment (kitchen/concession) would be an asset.
  • Food Safe Level I Certificate
  • First Aid Level I with CPR Certificate (or an age appropriate first aid certificate if under the age of 16)

Hours of Work

Casual hours of work are scheduled based on operational need and successful candidates will be required to work a flexible variety of shifts including days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. As this is a casual opportunity, there are no guaranteed hours of work.


This non-union position has a wage range in three steps, $15.45 to $16.34 per hour, as per the Non-Union Wage Scale.
