General Information

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications from prospective candidates to join our organization as a casual Bowling Alley Relief in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Manager, Cowichan Lake Recreation and receiving direction from the Program Assistant III the Bowling Alley Relief is responsible for the effective operation of the bowling alley in the absence of the Program Assistant III.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience with all aspects of bowling.

  • Experience with retail sales.

  • Experience with processing cash transactions, reconciliations, and operating interac and cash machines.

  • First Aid Level 1 with CPR

  • Food Safe

Hours of Work

As this is a casual opportunity there are no guaranteed hours of work. Hours of work include a flexible variety of shifts during days & evenings on weekdays & weekends based on operational need. 

Salary

This non-union opportunity has a sstarting wage rate of $22.45 per hour (which is $19.19 per hour plus 6% pay in lieu of vacation, 6% pay in lieu of benefits and 5% pay in lieu of statutory holidays), as per the 2021 Non-Union Wage Scale.
